The Pelosi-led Congress Has An Anti-life Agenda

Pro-Life Citizens to Send ‘Stand Firm’ Message to President Bush More than 27,000 citizens co-sign Pro-Life Letter in less than a week

CHESAPEAKE, Virginia, Mar. 8 /Christian Newswire/ — Following in the footsteps of the 35 U.S. Senators who wrote, signed and sent a Pro-Life re-affirmation letter to the White House urging the President to stand firm against a pro-abortion Congress that is trying to weaken his commitment to the unborn, Grassfire.org has drafted a similar letter so Pro-Life citizens can send a “stand firm” message to the George Bush. \n“The Pelosi-led Congress has an anti-life agenda that \nis being sold to our nation,” says Grassfire President \nSteve Elliott. “To counter this destructive push, we \nwanted to give the Pro-Life voice a megaphone that \nresonates above their rhetoric, and this letter can do \nthat.”\n

\nAfter launching the initiative late last week with a lofty \ngoal of 25,000 signatures, the campaign has already \nrallied more than 27,000 Pro-Life citizens, with \nhundreds more signing each hour. “From the turnout \nwe are seeing, it is obvious this letter has touched a \nnerve with Pro-Life citizens who are eager to send a \nmessage to the President.”\n

\nGrassfire will be delivering the letters to Capitol Hill \nearly next week, and Elliott says it’s quite possible \n35,000 to 40,000 letters will be delivered by that \ntime. “The rights of the unborn are supremely \nimportant to the American people, and they aren’t \ngoing to stand silent while this Congress callously \nattempts to cast them aside. This letter is a strong \nresponse.” \n

\nIn addition to the re-affirmation letter to the President, \nGrassfire’s national “Petition\nFor Life” petition has rallied more than 529,000 \ncitizens. \n
